Audrey Hepburn: more than just a Fashion Icon

Her name marks a great significance to the world of today. She is still considered as one of the most famous actresses of our time and a great humanitarian (UNICEF), being a fashion icon for many and as well as a respected actress. Describing her fashion style would be authentic and vintage
She was born as Audrey Kathleen Ruston on the 4th of May 1929 (Belgium) and died on the 20th of January 1993 because of colon Cancer.

She has graced the cover of VOGUE and Harper's Bazaar.
Givenchy, Hubert de  was a well-known designer and a friend of Hepburn, having him style her while in the movie, "Sabrina." Fashion experts said that Hepburn's popularity until now with her fashion is given credit to her minimalist effect.
She wore dresses that have simple, clean lines (like the Simple Black Dress she is known for wearing) and having a statement with those BOLD accessories.

The "little black dress" from Breakfast at Tiffany's, designed by Givenchy, was sold at a Christie's auction on the 5th of December 2006 for £467,200 (approximately $920,000), almost seven times its £70,000 pre-sale estimate. This is the highest price paid for a dress from a film.

For all her life she devoted herself to be an ambassador of goodwill and helped the poor people from Ethiopia and other places. Until now, the name Audrey Hepburn is more than a household name. She is a woman of substance. Irreplaceable. Her beauty inside and out is undeniably her legacy, more than just being a fashion Icon.
