This movie is actually based from a 1960's cult horror daytime soap, in which the lead character of Johnny Depp as Barnabas who unfortunately had a mishap with Angelique who is a witch that triggered her to cast a spell on Barnabas ( his parents killed & cast a spell on his true love, Josette). Little did he know that the witch also did put a spell on him, turning him into a vampire.
Tim Burton's collaboration with Johnny Depp is immensely predictable for me. They are both synonymous with weirdness & diverse portrayals of fictional characters. But nevertheless, I'm still hoping for a more positive response from the audience across the globe and one thing is for sure, I'm not gonna miss it because I'm a big Johnny Depp Junkie. haha! I got to give the credit to the both of them from their previous films from Edward Scissorhands, Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, Sweeney Todd, The Corpse Bride, Alice in Wonderland down to this film, "The Dark Shadows."
Got to see it at theaters near you.
